Deployment gallery: how sites set up their devices

These photos show how sites have set up their SiteHive Hexanode devices. Every Hexanode installs the same way: it sits in its mounting bracket, you turn the bracket so the cameras face the right way (Check and adjust your device's orientation) and tighten the screws, and a single cable runs to mains power or to a solar and battery set-up. The kit works as supplied, or can be adapted for a custom installation. Use this page to find the set-up that looks most like your site before you head out.

Solar stand and wall mount

Left: a Hexanode on its solar stand at a street kerb beside a concrete pole, with the solar panel leaning at ground level. Right: a Hexanode wall-mounted on a brick wall, with the solar panel on a bracket and the battery box alongside

The solar stand kit is a standalone, easily moved set-up for anywhere with ground to stand it on. The same components can be configured for wall mounting where there is no ground space.

Pole mounts

Four pole-mounted Hexanodes: one above a security fence at a port, one on a bracket with its solar panel over a rooftop, one in a grass paddock with the solar panel on the ground, and one with the panel and battery box fixed to the same pole

A pole gets the device above fences and hoardings and keeps the cameras clear. The solar panel can share the pole or sit on the ground beside it.

Pole with pre-assembled solar and battery

A Hexanode, solar panel and SiteHive battery box mounted on one length of aluminium extrusion, strapped to a timber power pole beside a tree

When mounting on a pole, the device, solar panel and battery can be pre-assembled on a single piece of aluminium extrusion and then fixed in position. Steps: Solar panel with pole mount.
