Create a PDF report
Reports are a key part of any project, and SiteHive Enviro generates them automatically on the Reporting > PDF Reports page. There are three kinds:
Periodic reports: choose a date range to make weekly, monthly or quarterly reports.
Point in Time reports for Noise: a one-pager for a specific time and location, usually in response to a noise complaint.
Attended reports (SiteHive Enviro Pro only): a one-pager summarising an in-person attended monitoring session. See Advanced reporting.
Periodic reports
Periodic reports are the most comprehensive report type, typically used for any number of devices or locations over periods from a week to six months.
Reports are generated for one aspect (noise, dust or vibration) at a time.
When you generate a periodic report you choose what it contains:
Device list and map: a list of the selected devices and a map showing their locations.
Stats cards: the key stats for the period, typically averages and maximums depending on the aspect.
Telemetry graphs: a graph per device or location, with options for the averaging period, thresholds, and weather-affected or out-of-hours periods.
Weather graphs: choose your data source (OpenWeather, the Bureau of Meteorology, or your own weather station) for rainfall, wind, temperature, humidity and dew point.
Daily notes: choose All Daily Notes or Only Monitoring Point Related from the dropdown; the list shows date, note and author. See Daily notes.
Device details: a list of devices with make, model and calibration status.
Attended monitoring: a summary of all attended monitoring in the period.
Your settings are saved automatically, so the next report starts from the same configuration as the last.
Point in Time reports
A Point in Time report is a quick one-page summary of what was happening at a specific date, time and location on your site.
It is usually made after the fact, often in response to a complaint (someone says there was a lot of construction noise yesterday).
You pick a device and a time. The report gives both context (a graph of the whole day) and the specific results from that time (noise levels, images), and you can add your own commentary on site activity.
On the Reporting > PDF Reports page, select the Noise aspect and choose the Point in Time report.
Asynchronous reporting
SiteHive Enviro generates reports asynchronously: they are processed in the background and delivered by email, so you can keep working while the report is prepared, and reports can cover longer periods.
How it works
Request your report. Select your parameters (aspect, dates and Monitoring Points) as usual, then click Generate PDF.
Keep working. Once you have clicked Generate you can navigate away or start other tasks in SiteHive Enviro.
Check your email. When the report is ready you receive an email with the project details (name, project, aspect and date range) and a secure download link.
Download your report. Click the link, or paste the URL into your browser, to save the file. Most browsers save it to your Downloads folder.
ℹ️ The download link is valid for 7 days. Save the PDF if you need it for longer. If you do not see the email, check your junk or spam folder and add no-reply@notifications.sitehive.co to your safe senders.
