Add and manage users
Manage who can see your site on the Settings > Users page. It lists everyone with access to the site in SiteHive Enviro, and it is where you invite new users so your team, consultants and client can be part of the project.
Invite a new user
Go to Settings and open the Users tab.
Click + Invite User.
Enter the email address of the person you want to add and click Send invite.
A green message at the bottom of the screen confirms the invitation has been sent.
The invited user then opens the email and signs up to access SiteHive.
💡 Invite links are valid for one week. If an invite has expired, send a new one.
What the invited user sees
A new user gets an email from SiteHive saying they have been invited.
Ask invited users to check their spam folder for the invite email, especially if their business has strict spam filtering.
The email has an Accept Invite button and a link. Either lets them add their details and create their account, and once they have logged in they have instant access to SiteHive.
It is a good idea to remind new users to bookmark SiteHive in their browser, or to install the web app on their phone, so it is easy to find.
Below is the sign-up sequence.
If their email address already has access to SiteHive, they get an email asking them to Accept Invite so the new site is added to their portfolio.
Who can see what
Access is set site by site. A user sees only the sites they have been invited to, and everyone listed on the Users page has access to the site and can view and edit content in Site Details. Someone who works across several projects is invited to each site and sees them all on the Portfolio page.
To give a stakeholder a simple, high-level view without full access to the software, use a Stakeholder View (SiteHive Enviro Pro).
For how access is controlled and where your data is stored, see Data governance and IT security.
If someone has left the project and should no longer see the site, contact your Regional Success Manager or support@sitehive.com and we will remove their access.
